Post Operative Care

• Following surgery Dr Bell will contact your next of kin (with your permission) and review you prior to discharge.

• You will be provided with advice regarding dressings, pain relief options, physical restrictions and drain care (if applicable).

• You will also receive the details for your follow up appointment and any instructions of what to look out for during your recovery from surgery.

• Please let Dr Bell know if a medical certificate is required.

• If there are any concerns in the post-operative period, please contact Dr Bell’s rooms during office hours on (07) 3709 4400. After hours, please contact the hospital where the operation took place or your GP for further advice.
